MOT in Rochdale: About the MOT Test

This page has been designed to let you know more about the MOT test and why they are needed, if your car is more than 3 years old then you must get an MOT test every year, failing not to may result in a fine.

The MOT test checks if your vehicle is still road worthy and that it meets road safety and environmental standards, it confirms that at the time of the test your vehicle meets these guidelines, it does not count as a service and you should continue to get your vehicle serviced throughout its life whenever the manufacturer recommends it.

The MOT test consist of 150 checks from brakes to VIN numbers it is an in depth test without any dismantling, it will check your vehicles emissions and the safety of your car by checking the brakes, windscreen, lights and much more to ensure that you are not putting yourself or anyone else in damager on the road.

If your car fails then you have to get it repaired and retested, if we do the repairs for you then the retest will be free however if you take it somewhere else for the repairs we can not say that they will retest it for free, if your car passes then at the time of the test your car is safe to use on the road.
